Ashley Watanabe ('01)

Although only 5'6", Ashley ('01) stands tall amongst the highly successful 9th ranked Wahine Volleybal team.  As a senior, she finishes her UH Division I volleyball career with numerous WAC honors.  Hard work, persistance and a good atitude were the tools for her success.  And, when things got tough, it was her faith in God that pulled her through.  She comes from a very close knit family that not only prays together but also work together in the family business, Watanabe Realty.  And, if that is not close enough, after work, the family plays music together in a band called NYK.  NYK has a double meaning... before a gig it means Not Yet Known... after a gig it means Now You Know.
