The 2nd Old Halawa Housing Reunion was held on Saturday, Oct 19, at Yama's Royale Ranch.  The event featured multicultural entertainment, food booths, information booths and games and prizes for the keikis.  This year, the committee decided to invite several non-profit community organizations to promote community awareness.

The Old Halawa Housing was a close community where families grew together and shared with each other... until the State stepped in and decided to build a freeway and a stadium.  As a result, the families were forced to move to other areas.  Generations have passed but in the true spirit of ohana, the families hold reunions so that they can reminisce about the good old days in Halawa.
