Aiea alumnus and Hawaii's most watched and most trusted television newscaster, Joe Moore, wrote and starred in a play called 'Dirty Laundry' which debuted at the Hawaii Theatre, April 18-20.  AHSACA members came out in force to support Joe and to thank him for his pride of being a product of Aiea High School.  The play centers around a fictitious newsroom in which a well respected news anchor (Joe Moore) battles with the new News Director whose only interest is 'The Ratings'.  The play actually reflects Joe Moore's personal contempt for news sensationalism which takes precedence over responsible journalism.  The play also featured James MacArthur (aka Danno from Hawaii Five-0).  We all enjoyed Joe's tribute to coach Ed Kiyuna to whom he named one of his characters after... and we also noticed another familiar character whose name was Suzie Suzuki.
