Mar 29, 2003 To help publicize our upcoming Benefit Concert, the AHSACA went to the Hanohano Room to be part of the KSSK's Perry and Price Show. Present were our Pres. O'Brian Eselu, VP Susan Suzuki, Sec Lynette (Kam) Serrao, Jonathan Banuilos, Doug Hom, Aiea's first cheerleader Cynthia (Barnes) Gueso, Karie Pastor of Believe and others. The show got exciting when Perry called upon O'Brian to talk about our Benefit Concert. Immediately Cynthia went into a rousing cheer... that's when Perry asked her if she really was Aiea's first cheerleader. Cynthia responded, "Well, there were others but I was the best!" Then Perry asked her if she had a Yuban cheer which of course she did. It ended when Price asked us to sing our Alma Mater which we did quite proudly. If you were there you would have said that we were the most energetic (loudest) group there. Also at the show were other alumni, Peter Rockford Espiritu ('81), Jacquie (Wallace) MacDonald ('86) and several others. Karie Pastor of the group Believe is also an Aiea alumni, Class of '95. Believe is one of the groups performing at our Benefit Concert.
