Todd Maeda Fundraiser

On April 14, 2007, a fundraiser was held for Todd Maeda, son of Gary ('73) and May (Suzuki, '72) Maeda.  Todd has leukemia, and now, Crohn's disease.  The fundraiser was held to help defray some of the enormous medical expenses.  Held at Waimalu Elementary, many caring volunteers came out to sell Ani's sweet bread and steak lunch plates.  Both Gary and May was there and wanted to thank all for showing their support.  If you were there, you could feel the love.  For those who couldn't make it to the event, you can still show your support by visiting any Bank of Hawaii and making a donation to the "Todd Maeda Fund".  Pictured far left is AHSACA member, Sharon (Ho,'73) Miyashiro, packing some of the 2,000 sweet breads that was sold that day.

We are sad to report that Todd Maeda did succumb to his illnesses.  Our heart go out to the Maeda family for their loss...
